Made with crumbled cake, frosting, and dipped in white chocolate, these cake pops are topped with red, white, and blue sprinkles, making them a sweet and colorful addition to your dessert table.

Ingredients

1 box White Cake Mix (prepared according to package directions)

23 tablespoons White Frosting

1 bag White Chocolate Chips (11 ounces)

24 Wooden Skewers or Lollipop Sticks

Red, White, and Blue Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Bake the Cake: Bake the white cake according to the package directions and let it cool completely.
  2. Crumble the Cake: Once the cake has cooled, crumble it into fine crumbs using a fork. Make sure the crumbs are evenly sized for the best texture in your cake pops.
  3. Mix with Frosting: Mix in 2-3 tablespoons of white frosting to the cake crumbs until the mixture becomes dough-like. The consistency should be easy to roll into balls.
  4. Shape the Cake Pops: Roll the cake mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a wax paper-lined baking sheet.
  5. Insert the Skewers: Melt a small amount of white chocolate and dip the ends of the wooden skewers or lollipop sticks into the chocolate. Then, insert the sticks into the cake balls.
  6. Chill the Cake Pops: Refrigerate the cake pops for 1 hour to ensure they firm up and hold their shape.
  7. Dip in Chocolate: Melt the remaining white chocolate chips until smooth. Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
  8. Add Sprinkles: While the chocolate is still soft, immediately add red, white, and blue sprinkles on top of the cake pops.
  9. Chill Again: Place the cake pops back in the fridge and chill them until the chocolate coating is fully set.
  10. Serve and Enjoy: Once the chocolate has hardened, your 4th of July cake pops are ready to serve!

Notes

These cake pops can be made ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to serve.

For variety, you can use different cake mix flavors or colored sprinkles based on the occasion.

Be sure the cake pops are chilled before dipping to help the sticks stay in place.
