Garlic-Herb Air Fryer Chicken Thighs are crispy, golden, and juicy, thanks to the air fryer. These seasoned chicken thighs are perfect for a quick, easy meal, with minimal prep and maximum flavor.

Ingredients

4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Optional garnishes: fresh parsley, lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Rub with olive oil and season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Flip the chicken thighs and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
  5. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley and lime wedges, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For boneless chicken thighs, reduce the cooking time by 5-7 minutes.

Marinate the chicken for a few hours before cooking to enhance the flavor.

To cook frozen chicken thighs, add 5-10 minutes to the cooking time and ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Vegetables can be cooked alongside the chicken in the air fryer; just ensure they’re cut to a similar size for even cooking.
