This Avocado & Cilantro Margarita is a refreshing twist on the classic margarita, featuring creamy avocado, fresh cilantro, and tangy lime juice. The non-alcoholic base keeps it light while still delivering a flavorful and savory experience, perfect for pairing with Mexican food or enjoying on its own.

Ingredients

½ cup of your preferred non-alcoholic base (e.g., non-alcoholic distilled spirit or fruit juice-based alternative)

¼ cup triple sec or orange liqueur (or a non-alcoholic substitute)

⅓ cup freshly squeezed lime juice

½ medium ripe avocado

¼ cup fresh cilantro leaves

12 tbsp agave syrup (adjust to taste)

½ cup ice

Coarse salt or Tajín, for rimming (optional)

Lime wedges & cilantro sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass. Dip into coarse salt or Tajín for an extra burst of flavor. Set the glasses aside.
  2. In a blender, combine the non-alcoholic base, triple sec (or non-alcoholic substitute), lime juice, avocado, cilantro leaves, agave syrup, and ice. Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness with more agave syrup if desired.
  3. Pour the blended margarita into the prepared glasses. For extra chill, you can add more ice to the glasses before pouring. Garnish with a lime wedge and a cilantro sprig.

Notes

  1. Omit cilantro or substitute with fresh basil for a different herbal flavor.
  2. For a sweeter margarita, add more agave syrup or try honey/simple syrup.
  3. Add extra ice for a frozen margarita texture.
