Ingredients

4 ripe bananas, sliced

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp cinnamon

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup whole milk

2 tsp baking powder

Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, toss the sliced bananas with brown sugar and cinnamon until the bananas are well coated.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter and milk until smooth. Gradually add the dry ingredients and stir until just combined to form a batter.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Layer the banana mixture over the batter.
  7. Pour the remaining batter over the bananas to form the cobbler topping.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
  9. Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving.
