Ingredients

For the Beef Steaks:

4 beef steaks (approximately 180g each, ribeye or fillet type)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Mushroom Sauce:

250g fresh mushrooms, sliced

1 tablespoon butter

1 clove garlic, minced

½ cup beef broth

½ cup thick cream

1 tablespoon flour (to thicken the sauce)

1 teaspoon fresh or dried thyme

Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cooking the Steaks:
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steaks with salt and pepper.
    Cook steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium. Adjust time for desired doneness.
    Remove steaks from skillet, cover with foil, and keep warm.

  • Preparing the Mushroom Sauce:
    In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
    Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
    Add sliced mushrooms, cook for 5-7 minutes until golden.
