Enjoy the Best Ever Cheese Fondue, a rich and creamy blend of aged cheddar, Gruyère, and American cheese, enhanced with a flavorful broth for a smooth and indulgent finish. Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup warm broth
  • 6 oz Gruyère cheese, shredded
  • 7 oz aged cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 oz American cheese, shredded
  • 6 tsp cornstarch, divided
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cheese: Toss shredded Gruyère and American cheeses with 3 tsp of cornstarch. In a separate bowl, toss shredded cheddar with the remaining 3 tsp of cornstarch.
  • Warm the Liquid: In a medium saucepan, heat the broth until warm but not boiling.
  • Cook Garlic: Melt butter over medium heat in the saucepan. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant and golden (1-2 minutes).
  • Add Liquid: Pour in the warm broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Incorporate Cheeses: Lower the heat and gradually whisk in the Gruyère and American cheese mixture until smooth. Then, add the cheddar cheese mixture and whisk until fully melted.
  • Season: Add freshly cracked black pepper to taste.
  • Serve: Transfer the fondue to a fondue pot over low heat. Serve immediately with your choice of dippers.
