Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and coated in cinnamon sugar, these Best Ever Churro Bites are an irresistible, bite-sized version of the classic treat. Perfect for parties, cozy nights, or an easy dessert everyone will love.

Ingredients

1 cup water

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 tbsp granulated sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)

1 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  2. Add flour all at once and stir continuously until dough forms and pulls away from the sides of the pan, about 2–3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Beat in eggs one at a time until dough becomes smooth and slightly sticky.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat until hot (about 350°F/175°C).
  5. Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl for coating.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough into the hot oil using a spoon or piping bag.
  7. Fry 2–3 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
  8. Toss warm churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.
  9. Serve warm with chocolate, caramel, or dulce de leche for dipping if desired.

Notes

Add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom to the cinnamon sugar for extra warmth.

Dip in melted chocolate or caramel for added indulgence.

Can be baked at 400°F for 10–12 minutes or air fried at 375°F for 8 minutes.

Best served fresh but can be reheated in the oven to restore crispness.

Maintain oil temperature for best texture—too cool and churros absorb oil.
