An ultra-rich Better Than Anything Cake made with moist chocolate poke cake soaked in sweetened condensed milk and caramel, then topped with fluffy whipped topping and crunchy Heath bar pieces.

Ingredients

13.25 oz box Devil’s food cake mix (plus ingredients listed on box)

14 oz can sweetened condensed milk

1 cup caramel sauce

8 oz container Cool Whip

4 Heath bars, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Prepare and bake the Devil’s food cake according to the package directions.
  3. Let the cake cool for about 20 minutes.
  4. Using a wooden spoon handle or skewer, poke holes evenly all over the cake.
  5. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, followed by the caramel sauce.
  6. Allow the cake to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  7. Before serving, spread Cool Whip evenly over the top.
  8. Sprinkle chopped Heath bars over the whipped topping and serve chilled.

Notes

Poke holes almost to the bottom so the cake absorbs maximum flavor.

Chilling the cake overnight enhances the flavor and texture.

Use stabilized homemade whipped cream if substituting for Cool Whip.

Serve chilled for best taste and structure.
