Blueberry Tiramisu is a delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, combining creamy mascarpone, fresh blueberries, and ladyfingers soaked in coffee. This refreshing and indulgent dessert is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

2 cups fresh blueberries

1 cup mascarpone cheese

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup brewed coffee (cooled)

2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)

24 ladyfinger cookies

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the blueberries: In a bowl, mash half of the blueberries with a fork. Set aside the other half for layering and garnish.
  2. Make the cream mixture: In a separate bowl, beat together mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until light and creamy.
  3. Combine blueberries: Gently fold the mashed blueberries into the mascarpone mixture, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Mix the coffee: In a shallow dish, combine brewed coffee and coffee liqueur (if using).
  5. Dip the ladyfingers: Quickly dip each ladyfinger in the coffee mixture, ensuring they soak but do not become too soggy.
  6. Layer the dessert: Start by placing a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.
  7. Add the cream layer: Spread half of the blueberry mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, covering them completely.
  8. Add blueberries: Sprinkle half of the reserved blueberries over the cream layer.
  9. Repeat layers: Place another layer of dipped ladyfingers over the blueberries and top with the remaining mascarpone mixture. Again, sprinkle the rest of the blueberries on top.
  10. Chill: Cover the dish with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  11. Serve: Before serving, garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired for an added touch of elegance.

Notes

Add a citrus twist: For a zesty flavor, add a tablespoon of lemon zest to the mascarpone mixture or sprinkle some lemon zest on top for garnish.

Use other berries: If you don’t have blueberries, feel free to use raspberries, blackberries, or strawberries for a different flavor combination.
