Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 pound asparagus spears, trimmed

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Oven and Chicken:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    • Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.

  • Sear the Chicken:

    • Heat the olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Add the chicken breasts and sear until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  • Add Caesar Dressing and Cheese:

    • Remove the skillet from heat.

    • Pour the Caesar dressing over the seared chicken, making sure each piece is well coated.

    • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the chicken.

  • Add Asparagus:

    • Arrange the trimmed asparagus spears around the chicken in the skillet.

    • Sprinkle the asparagus with garlic powder and, if desired, extra Parmesan cheese.

  • Bake:

    • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.

    • Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C) and the asparagus is tender.

  • Serve:

    • Remove the skillet from the oven.

    • Garnish with lemon wedges and serve immediately.

Notes

Vegetable Alternatives: Swap out asparagus for green beans or roasted broccoli if preferred.

Crunchy Topping: Add croutons in the last few minutes of baking for a traditional Caesar salad touch.

Cherry Tomatoes: Halved cherry tomatoes add a burst of sweetness and balance the savory flavors of the dish.
