Caramel Apple Popcorn is a quick, no-bake snack that combines crunchy popcorn with buttery caramel and tangy green apple flavor, creating a sweet treat reminiscent of classic caramel apples.

Ingredients

1/2 cup pure cane sugar

1 cup light corn syrup

1 (3 oz) package green apple gelatin mix (dry)

1 (11 oz) package caramel bits

1012 cups popped corn (unpopped kernels removed)

Instructions

  1. Place the popped popcorn in a large bowl, removing any unpopped kernels.
  2. Pour the caramel bits over the popcorn, mix gently, and set aside.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, corn syrup, and dry gelatin mix.
  4. Stir constantly and bring the mixture to a rolling boil.
  5. Allow it to boil for exactly 1 minute, then remove from heat.
  6. Immediately pour the hot mixture over the popcorn and caramel bits.
  7. Stir quickly and thoroughly until all popcorn is evenly coated.
  8. Let cool slightly until set, then serve.

Notes

Work quickly, as the coating sets fast.

Break apart clumps gently once slightly cooled.

Best enjoyed the same day it is made.

Plain popcorn works best for even coating.
