Chocolate Babka Parfaits are a decadent and easy-to-make dessert combining rich, chocolatey babka with fluffy, whipped cream. The layers of soft, chewy babka and airy cream offer a perfect contrast of textures, making these parfaits a luxurious treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 16 oz chocolate babka (or other flavored babka)

¾ cup heavy cream, cold

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

¼ cup confectioner’s sugar, sifted

¼ cup dark chocolate, shaved (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Babka: Cut about ¾ of the chocolate babka into ½-inch cubes and set aside. Reserve the rest for topping the parfaits.
  2. Whip the Cream: In a stand mixer, whip the heavy cream on high speed until soft peaks form. Add vanilla extract and confectioner’s sugar, and continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
  3. Assemble the Parfaits: In small glass jars or containers, alternate layers of babka and whipped cream, repeating until you have four layers. Top with the reserved babka cubes.
  4. Add Chocolate and Chill: Optionally, sprinkle dark chocolate shavings on top for added flavor and texture. Refrigerate the parfaits for about 30 minutes to allow the whipped cream to set.
  5. Serve: Serve immediately or within a few hours for the best texture. Garnish with additional chocolate shavings if desired.
