Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and mini marshmallows gently to avoid breaking the marshmallows too much.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are golden but centers are still soft.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Use dark or milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet for a different chocolate flavor.

Add chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts for crunch.

Swirl in some peanut butter or caramel for extra decadence.

Try white chocolate chips and raspberry pieces for a fruity twist.
