Classic Deviled Eggs are a must-have appetizer for holidays, potlucks, and gatherings. With a creamy, tangy, and slightly spicy filling, these eggs are both elegant and easy to prepare. Made with simple ingredients like mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and vinegar, they are naturally low-carb and packed with protein. Whether served traditionally or customized with toppings like avocado, deviled eggs are always a crowd favorite!

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • Paprika, for garnish
  • Chopped chives or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the Eggs: Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let sit covered for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Cool & Peel: Transfer eggs to an ice bath and cool for 5 minutes. Peel carefully.
  3. Prepare the Filling: Slice eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and mash them in a bowl.
  4. Mix Ingredients: Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
  5. Fill the Eggs: Spoon or pipe the filling into the egg whites.
  6. Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with chives or parsley if desired. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
  • Substitute half the mayo with mashed avocado for a healthier twist.
  • Add a teaspoon of sweet pickle relish for extra tang
