A silky and elegant Coffee Panna Cotta infused with rich espresso flavor, featuring a smooth, creamy texture that melts in every spoonful—perfect for dinner parties or make-ahead desserts.

Ingredients

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup whole milk

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon instant espresso powder (or strong instant coffee)

1 1/2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin powder

2 tablespoons cold water

Optional: whipped cream or chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in a small bowl and let bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, and sugar. Heat over medium until steaming but not boiling.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in espresso powder until fully dissolved.
  4. Add bloomed gelatin and whisk until completely dissolved.
  5. Strain mixture through a fine-mesh sieve for a smooth texture.
  6. Cool for 10–15 minutes at room temperature, stirring occasionally.
  7. Divide evenly among serving glasses or ramekins.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until set.
  9. Unmold if desired or serve in glasses. Garnish before serving.

Notes

Do not let the mixture boil to maintain a smooth texture.

For stronger coffee flavor, slightly increase espresso powder.

Dip ramekins briefly in warm water to unmold easily.

Best prepared 1–2 days in advance for convenience.
