Ingredients

  • Wonton wrappers
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 8 ounces real crabmeat, flaked
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  • Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, garlic powder, and onion powder. Fold in crabmeat.
  • Assemble the Egg Rolls: Place a wonton wrapper diagonally, spoon the crab mixture in the center, fold the bottom corner over the filling, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly. Seal with water.
  • Heat the Oil: In a pot or Dutch oven, heat 2 inches of vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
  • Fry the Egg Rolls: Fry in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  • Serve: Let cool slightly and serve with dipping sauces like sweet and sour sauce or spicy mayo.

Notes

  • For a baked version, brush with oil and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
  • Add a spicy kick with diced jalapeños or hot sauce in the filling.
  • Use the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes for a healthier option.
