Creamy Jamaican Shrimp Rasta Pasta is a flavorful and indulgent one-skillet dish combining spicy jerk-seasoned shrimp, creamy sauce, and sautéed vegetables with fettuccine pasta for a satisfying Caribbean-inspired meal.

Ingredients

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons jerk seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 bell pepper (red, green, or yellow), sliced

1 small onion, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup chicken broth

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Toss shrimp with jerk seasoning until coated.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté bell pepper and onion for 4–5 minutes until soft.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add shrimp to skillet and cook 3–4 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and vegetables; set aside.
  6. Add heavy cream and chicken broth to the skillet; bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Return pasta, shrimp, and vegetables to skillet; toss to coat evenly with sauce.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Remove from heat; garnish with parsley and optional Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
