Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup crushed Oreo cookies

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 tablespoon red food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
  6. Stir in red food coloring and crushed Oreo cookies until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until cookies are set.
