An easy cherry crumble made with canned cherry pie filling and a buttery oat topping. This quick dessert is perfect for busy weeknights, delivering a warm, comforting, homemade-style treat with minimal effort.

Ingredients

6 tablespoons butter, melted

1 1/8 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup rolled oats

6 tablespoons packed brown sugar

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then remove from heat.
  3. Stir in the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, and salt until the mixture resembles dry, crumbly sand.
  4. Press about two-thirds of the crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  5. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the base layer.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, until the cherries are bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm or at room temperature.

Notes

You can substitute cherry pie filling with apple, blueberry, or peach filling.

Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the topping for extra warmth.

Chopped nuts can be mixed into the crumb topping for added texture.

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
