A festive and comforting Easy King Cake made with soft, tender dough, a sweet cinnamon filling, and a smooth vanilla glaze. Perfect for celebrations, brunch, or a cozy dessert at home.

Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons active dry yeast

1 cup warm milk

2 large eggs

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons cinnamon

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 cups powdered sugar

1/4 cup milk or cream (adjust for desired consistency)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together warm milk, eggs, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Gradually stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place the dough in a warm spot and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  7. Roll the risen dough into a long rectangle.
  8. Mix cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle evenly over the dough.
  9. Roll the dough tightly into a log and shape into a ring on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Pinch the ends to seal.
  10. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  11. Allow the cake to cool for about 20 minutes.
  12. Whisk powdered sugar, milk or cream, and vanilla extract until smooth to make the glaze.
  13. Drizzle glaze over the cooled cake, slice, and serve.
