Easy Sweetened Condensed Milk Fudge combines rich semi-sweet chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, and butter for a smooth, creamy dessert. Customize with toppings like sea salt or nuts for added flavor.

Ingredients

2 ½ cups (15 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Optional: flaky sea salt, chopped nuts, or vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal. Lightly grease the paper with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir constantly until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth. If you’re adding vanilla extract, stir it in at this stage.
  3. Pour the melted fudge mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula. If desired, sprinkle toppings like flaky sea salt or chopped nuts on top.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm and set.
  5. Once fully set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into small squares and serve!

Notes

For a softer fudge, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before slicing or reduce the chilling time slightly.

You can add flavorings like almond extract or coffee extract to customize the flavor.

If using a different size pan, adjust the chilling time as needed based on the thickness of the fudge.

For a vegan version, use dairy-free chocolate chips and plant-based butter.
