This Festive Cranberry Tart is a stunning and delicious holiday dessert featuring tart cranberries, buttery crust, and a caramel-sweet filling. It’s easy to make, beautifully vibrant, and the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors—an elegant addition to any festive table.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups Fresh Cranberries

3/4 cup Granulated Sugar

1/4 cup Brown Sugar

1 tablespoon Cornstarch

1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1 Pre-made Pie Crust (store-bought or homemade)

2 tablespoons Butter, cubed

Optional: 1 teaspoon Orange Zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure a crisp, golden crust.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cranberries, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and orange zest if using. Toss until cranberries are evenly coated.
  3. Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch tart pan, trimming any excess dough. Pour the cranberry mixture into the crust and spread evenly. Dot the top with butter cubes.
  4. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the cranberries are bubbling and the crust is golden brown.
  5. Cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar for a festive touch.

Notes

Use thawed and drained frozen cranberries if fresh aren’t available.

Add orange zest or a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg for extra holiday flavor.

Substitute almond flour crust for a gluten-free version.

Top with whipped cream, glaze, or vanilla ice cream for a decadent finish.

Store covered in the fridge for up to 4 days; it tastes even better the next day.
