Ingredients

6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

Green food coloring (gel or liquid)

1 cup chocolate chips or chocolate melting wafers

Candy eyes

Black gel icing

Mini marshmallows or pretzel sticks

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add mini marshmallows and stir until smooth and completely melted.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in green food coloring until the desired shade of green is reached.
  3. Add Rice Krispies and stir until fully coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  4. Press the mixture into a greased or lined 9×13-inch baking dish. Let cool for about 20 minutes.
  5. Once the mixture has cooled, cut into rectangles to form Frankenstein heads.
  6. Dip the tops of the Rice Krispie rectangles into melted chocolate to create Frankenstein’s hair.
  7. Place candy eyes just below the chocolate line for the monster’s eyes.
  8. Use black gel icing to draw a stitched mouth and eyebrows, adding personality to Frankenstein.
  9. Insert mini marshmallows or pretzel sticks into the sides for bolts, completing the look of Frankenstein’s monster. Let the decorations set before serving.
