A cozy and festive gingerbread-flavored coffee made with molasses, warm spices, hot brewed coffee, and creamy whipped topping—perfect for holiday mornings or chilly days.

Ingredients

1/2 cup molasses

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon ground ginger

3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

6 cups hot brewed coffee

1 cup half-and-half cream

1 teaspoon ground cloves

1 1/2 cups sweetened whipped cream

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the molasses, brown sugar, baking soda, ground ginger, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. Cover and refrigerate the spice mixture for at least 10 minutes to let the flavors develop.
  3. To assemble each cup, pour about 1/4 cup of hot coffee into a serving mug and stir in 1 tablespoon of the prepared spice mixture until fully dissolved.
  4. Fill the mug with more hot coffee, leaving room for cream, and stir in half-and-half to taste.
  5. Top with sweetened whipped cream and finish with a light sprinkle of ground cloves.

Notes

Use whole milk, heavy cream, or dairy-free creamer as desired.

Add more ginger or brown sugar for stronger flavor or sweetness.

A splash of vanilla extract adds bakery-style aroma.

Serve immediately after assembling for best texture.
