This Glazed Doughnut Strawberry Shortcake is a fun and indulgent twist on the classic dessert. Using sweet glazed doughnuts in place of traditional biscuits, it combines the rich sweetness of doughnuts with whipped cream and fresh strawberries for a crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

2 cups heavy whipping cream

½ cup confectioners’ sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

4 glazed doughnuts, halved horizontally

1 quart strawberries, hulled and sliced

Instructions

  1. In a chilled glass or metal bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla extract together with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
  2. Place the bottom half of one doughnut on a plate.
  3. Spoon ¼ cup of whipped cream onto the doughnut, then arrange ¼ of the sliced strawberries over the cream.
  4. Spoon another ¼ cup of whipped cream over the strawberries, then top with the remaining doughnut half.
  5. Repeat this process with the remaining doughnuts, whipped cream, and strawberries.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

If you prefer sweeter strawberries, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sugar over the sliced berries before using.

For a fun twist, use doughnut holes or flavored doughnuts like chocolate-glazed or filled doughnuts.

Assemble the dessert just before serving to prevent the doughnuts from becoming soggy.

This dessert can be made gluten-free by using gluten-free doughnuts.
