Ingredients

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup brown sugar, packed

¾ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups chocolate chips

1 tbsp milk (if needed)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

  • In a separate bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.

  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each. Stir in vanilla.

  • Gradually mix in dry ingredients until combined. Add milk if dough is too thick.

  • Fold in chocolate chips.

  • Roll dough to ¼-inch thickness and cut into heart shapes.

  • Place on baking sheet, spaced apart.

  • Bake for 9–11 minutes, until edges are golden.

  • Cool on a wire rack before serving.
