Ingredients
1 lb salmon fillets, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil (for salmon)
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
1 tbsp chopped chives (for garnish)
Instructions
Prepare the Salmon: Pat dry the salmon cubes with a paper towel. In a bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle the salmon cubes with olive oil and toss them in the seasoning mix until evenly coated.
Pan-Sear the Salmon: Heat a skillet over medium heat with 1 tbsp olive oil. Add the seasoned salmon cubes in a single layer. Cook for 4-5 minutes, flipping often until crispy and golden. Transfer the salmon to a plate and set aside.
Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté the minced garlic and grated ginger for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey. Let the mixture simmer for 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Combine and Serve: Return the salmon to the skillet and toss in the honey garlic sauce until well-coated. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped chives. Serve with rice or steamed vegetables.
Notes
Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Reheating: Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat to maintain the texture and flavor.
