Churro Cheesecake combines the cinnamon-sugar goodness of churros with the creamy decadence of cheesecake. With a flaky crescent dough crust, smooth cream cheese filling, and a churro-inspired topping, this dessert is irresistible and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

2 cans (8 oz each) crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Assemble the base layer: Unroll one can of crescent dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, ensuring it covers the entire base.
  3. Make the cream cheese filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread the mixture evenly over the crescent dough layer.
  4. Add the top layer of dough: Unroll the second can of crescent dough and place it over the cream cheese filling, pressing it gently to adhere.
  5. Add the churro topping: Pour the melted butter evenly over the top layer of dough. In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of sugar with the cinnamon, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.
  7. Cool and serve: Let the churro cheesecake cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

Chocolate addition: Drizzle melted chocolate or add chocolate chips to the cream cheese filling for an extra indulgent twist.

Seasonal twist: Add pumpkin spice or apple pie spice to the cream cheese filling for a fall-inspired dessert.
