Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)

2 cups grape tomatoes, halved

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Spread basil pesto evenly over each chicken breast. Scatter halved grape tomatoes around chicken in the skillet.
  5. Transfer skillet to oven and bake for 15–20 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (75°C) internal temperature.
  6. Remove from oven, sprinkle Parmesan cheese over chicken and tomatoes if desired.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
