Jalapeño Popper Crescent Rolls are a spicy, cheesy, and buttery appetizer perfect for parties, game days, or family gatherings. Made with crescent roll dough, cream cheese, Pepper Jack cheese, and jalapeños, these easy-to-make rolls offer the perfect balance of heat and creaminess.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Pepper Jack cheese, shredded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4-ounce can diced jalapeños, drained
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 16 ounces crescent roll dough
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
    • Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare Cheese Mixture:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded Pepper Jack cheese, drained diced jalapeños, and salt. Mix until thoroughly combined.
  • Prepare Dough:
    • Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a large cutting board. If using perforated dough, press the perforations together to form a solid sheet.
  • Spread Filling:
    • Evenly spread the cheese mixture over the dough sheet.
  • Roll and Slice:
    • Starting from the short edge, tightly roll the dough into a log.
    • Using a serrated knife, slice the log into approximately 1-inch thick pieces, yielding about 16 rolls.
  • Arrange in Baking Dish:
    • Place the rolls, cut side up, in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, ensuring they are slightly touching but not overcrowded.
  • Add Garlic Butter:
    • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder.
    • Brush this mixture over the tops of the rolls.
  • Bake:
    • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 28-30 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.
  • Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Milder Version: Use diced mild green chilies instead of jalapeños.
  • Extra Heat: Add more jalapeños or use Habanero Cheddar.
  • Alternative Cheeses: Try cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend.
