Ingredients

1 packet taco seasoning

1 pound ground beef

½ cup salsa

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

2 tbsp melted butter

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

12 6-inch tortillas

Instructions

  • Brown the Beef:
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned. Drain any excess grease.

  • Season the Beef:
Stir in the taco seasoning, following the packet’s instructions. Mix well to coat the beef evenly.

  • Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture:
In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the salsa and blend until combined.

  • Assemble the Tacos:
Lay a tortilla flat and spread a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture in the center. Top with seasoned beef and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.

  • Form the Pocket:
Fold the tortilla over the filling to form a pocket, much like a burrito.

  • Prep for Baking:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a baking tray with cooking spray. Place the stuffed tortillas on the tray and brush the tops with melted butter.

  • Bake:
Bake for 15 minutes or until the tortillas are golden and crispy.

Notes

Add Veggies: Feel free to add diced bell peppers, onions, or corn to the filling for extra flavor.

Spicy Version: Add jalapeños or spicy salsa to the cream cheese mixture for a heat boost.

Swap the Meat: Use ground turkey, chicken, or even a vegetarian option to customize the tacos.
