Ingredients

For the Brownies:

1 cup melted butter

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups sugar

½ teaspoon salt

4 eggs

3 tablespoons vanilla extract

For the Frosting:

¼ cup melted butter

¼ cup milk

3 cups powdered sugar

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

  • Mix Brownie Batter: In a medium bowl, combine melted butter and cocoa powder using a hand mixer until smooth. Add sugar, eggs, salt, and vanilla extract, then blend well. Gradually add the flour and mix until everything is well combined.

  • Bake Brownies: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  • Prepare Frosting: While the brownies are baking, prepare the frosting. In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, milk, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

  • Cool and Frost: Once the brownies are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for about 10 minutes. Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled brownies and allow them to set before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a twist, try swapping the chocolate frosting for vanilla or peanut butter frosting.

Add chocolate chips to the batter for an extra chocolatey flavor.

Top the frosting with colorful sprinkles for a festive look.

Store the brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerate for a firmer texture.
