Ingredients

¼ cup butter

4 cups miniature marshmallows

5 cups crispy rice cereal

Instructions

  1. Melt butter: In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Add marshmallows: Once the butter is melted, stir in the marshmallows. Continue stirring until the marshmallows are completely melted and well combined with the butter. Cook for another 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in rice cereal: Add the crispy rice cereal to the melted marshmallow mixture and stir until the cereal is evenly coated.
  4. Press into pan: Using a buttered spatula or waxed paper, press the mixture evenly and firmly into a buttered 9×13-inch baking pan.
  5. Cool and cut: Allow the treats to cool, then cut them into 2-inch squares. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For a chocolate twist, drizzle melted chocolate on top.
