One-Pan Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sausage Rice is a hearty, flavorful meal that combines smoky BBQ sausage, tender rice, bell peppers, and a tangy BBQ sauce. This simple, one-pan dish is perfect for busy nights, offering a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors with minimal cleanup. Ingredients

1 lb BBQ sausage, sliced

1 cup long-grain white rice

2 cups chicken broth

1 small onion, diced

1 bell pepper, diced

1 cup frozen corn

1/2 cup BBQ sauce

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Sausage: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook for 5-7 minutes, until browned and crispy. Remove and set aside.

  2. Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add diced onion and bell pepper. Cook for 3-5 minutes until softened. Add frozen corn and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

  3. Add Rice and Seasonings: Stir in rice, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.

  4. Simmer: Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.

  5. Combine and Serve: Return the sausage to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
