Ingredients

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar (light or dark)

1 tsp baking powder

3 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup pink food coloring

1/2 cup purple food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs and vanilla until frothy. Stir wet ingredients into dry until just combined.
  4. Divide batter into two bowls. Mix pink food coloring into one and purple into the other.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of each batter into the prepared pan. Use a toothpick to swirl the colors into a bat-wing-like pattern.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely in the pan.
  7. Cut into bat shapes with a cookie cutter or sharp knife and serve.

Notes

Try pastel green or blue food coloring for a magical look.

Add chocolate chips or white chocolate chunks for extra richness.

Top with sprinkles or crushed cookies before baking for crunch.

Use gel food coloring for more vibrant swirls.

Store brownies airtight at room temp up to 3 days, or freeze up to 2 months.
