Pecan Pie Brownies are the ultimate indulgent treat that combines the rich, fudgy goodness of brownies with a sweet, nutty pecan pie topping. With a gooey, caramel-like filling and crunchy pecans, these decadent brownies are perfect for holidays, special occasions, or as a delightful dessert for any gathering.

Ingredients

For the Brownies:

1 box of brownie mix (that makes a 13×9-inch pan), plus ingredients listed on the package

For the Pecan Pie Filling:

1 cup sugar

1 ½ cups light corn syrup

4 eggs

¼ cup unsalted butter

1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups pecans, roughly chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Preheat the oven according to the brownie mix instructions.

  • Make the Pecan Pie Filling:
In a saucepan, whisk together sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter, and vanilla. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring continuously for 15-20 minutes, until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon. Stir in the pecans and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  • Prepare the Brownie Base:
Mix the brownie batter according to the instructions on the box. Pour the batter into a greased 13×9-inch pan and bake for 20 minutes.

  • Add the Pecan Filling:
Once the brownies are partially baked, remove them from the oven. Pour the pecan pie filling over the brownies and return to the oven. Bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set and the brownies are fully cooked.

  • Cool and Serve:
Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them into squares. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Extra Chocolate: Add chocolate chips to the brownie batter for a more decadent chocolatey flavor.

Nut Substitutes: If you prefer, substitute pecans with walnuts or almonds for a different nutty taste.
