Ingredients

For the Dough & Coating

1 lb pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)

2 tbsp olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp dried oregano

½ tsp garlic powder

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Cheesesteak Filling

1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella)

½ cup thinly sliced beef or steak tips (cooked)

¼ tsp chili powder (optional, for a slight Tex-Mex touch)

Salt, to taste

For Dipping

Marinara sauce

Cheese sauce (queso)

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare the Baking Sheet: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.

  • Roll Out the Dough: Lightly flour your work surface and roll the pizza dough into a rectangle shape (about ¼-inch thick).

  • Add the Cheesesteak Filling: Mix olive oil and minced garlic in a small bowl. Brush the mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the dough. Add half of the shredded provolone or mozzarella, then spread the thinly sliced beef evenly over the cheese. Sprinkle garlic powder, oregano, salt, and chili powder over the top.

  • Fold, Cut, and Twist: Fold the dough in half, pressing gently to seal the filling inside. Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to cut the dough into 1-inch strips. Twist each strip slightly and place on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Bake to Golden Perfection: Sprinkle the remaining shredded provolone over the twisted strips. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the breadsticks are golden brown and crispy.

  • Serve & Enjoy: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with marinara sauce or cheese sauce (queso). Enjoy your cheesy, beefy, and flavorful Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Breadsticks!

Notes

Spicy Philly Cheesesteak Breadsticks: Add sautéed jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling for an extra kick.

BBQ Cheesesteak Breadsticks: Swap marinara for BBQ sauce and add caramelized onions for a smoky twist.

Veggie Cheesesteak Breadsticks: Use mushrooms, bell peppers, and caramelized onions instead of beef for a vegetarian version.

Chicken Cheesesteak Breadsticks: Replace beef with grilled or shredded chicken for a different take on the classic.
