Pioneer Woman Cheeseburger Pie is a savory, oven-baked dish that combines seasoned ground beef, cheese, and eggs in a flaky crust or crustless option, delivering all the flavors of a classic cheeseburger in a comforting sliceable form.

Ingredients

1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)

1 pound ground beef

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

4 large eggs, beaten

1½ cups milk

1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (optional)

Optional toppings: Ketchup, mustard, pickles, diced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Fit pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish if using and trim edges.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook until soft, about 3–5 minutes. Stir in salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Remove from heat.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until smooth.
  5. Sprinkle ½ cup of cheese on the bottom of the pie crust (if using).
  6. Spread cooked beef mixture evenly on top. Pour egg mixture over the beef. Top with remaining ½ cup cheese.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes until center is set and top is golden. A knife inserted should come out clean.
  8. Let cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Add toppings if desired and serve.

Notes

For a low-carb option, omit the crust and grease the pie dish before adding ingredients.

Mix in diced bell peppers, mushrooms, or spinach for added veggies.

Use any good melting cheese like Monterey Jack or Colby.

Top with sliced pickles, ketchup, mustard, or diced tomatoes for a full cheeseburger effect.

Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days or freeze unbaked pie for up to 1 month.
