This Pistachio Tiramisu is a luxurious twist on the classic Italian dessert. With layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, a creamy mascarpone mixture, and rich pistachio paste, this indulgent dessert is perfect for special occasions or a sweet treat anytime.

Ingredients

  • Strong coffee
  • Savoiardi ladyfingers (or boudoir biscuits)
  • Double cream
  • Icing sugar
  • Mascarpone
  • Pistachio paste
  • Chopped pistachios

Instructions

  • Whisk the cream and icing sugar in a large mixing bowl until soft peaks form.
  • Mix in the mascarpone and pistachio paste until just combined.
  • Dip the ladyfingers into the coffee for a few seconds and layer them in a dish.
  • Spread a layer of pistachio cream on top of the ladyfingers.
  • Repeat the process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of pistachio cream on top.
  • Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and set.

Notes

  • For added flavor, experiment with coffee liqueurs such as Baileys or Frangelico in the coffee soak.
  • You can substitute caster sugar for icing sugar for a slightly different texture.
  • This dessert benefits from being prepared ahead of time. Refrigerate for 6 hours, but overnight is ideal for best flavor.
  • The tiramisu can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days, and it actually gets better over time.
