Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef

1 (16-ounce) package Velveeta cheese

1 (16-ounce) jar salsa

1 jalapeño, minced

1 packet taco seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef:
    • In a nonstick skillet, brown and crumble the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Combine Ingredients:
    • Transfer the cooked ground beef to a 3 to 4-quart slow cooker.
    • Add the softened cream cheese, Velveeta cheese, salsa, minced jalapeño, and taco seasoning to the slow cooker.
  3. Cook:
    • Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the cheese is melted and the dip is creamy and well combined.
  4. Serve:
    • Serve the dip warm with tortilla chips for dipping, and enjoy!

Notes

Spicy Kick: If you like more heat, add an extra jalapeño or even some chili flakes to the dip. You could also use a spicy salsa for an added kick.

Vegetarian Version: For a vegetarian version, swap the ground beef with black beans or refried beans for a similar hearty texture and flavor.

Add More Toppings: Top with sliced green onions, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, or even some chopped cilantro to give your dip a fresh, vibrant touch.
