Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Add the milk and mix until the dough is smooth.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart. Flatten the dough slightly with the back of a spoon or your fingers.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden around the edges.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
