Spider Rice Krispie Treats are fun, spooky, no-bake Halloween snacks made with chocolate-flavored Rice Krispies, candy eyes, and pretzel stick legs. They’re quick to make, festive, and perfect for parties or family gatherings.

Ingredients

1 box Rice Krispie cereal

1 stick unsalted butter

16 oz marshmallows

1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

Candy eyes

Pretzel sticks

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and marshmallows together in a large pot over medium-low heat until smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in cocoa powder and Rice Krispies until evenly coated.
  3. Transfer mixture to a lined dish, spread evenly, and let cool for 5 minutes.
  4. Grease palms, scoop mixture, and roll into balls.
  5. Insert broken pretzel sticks on each side for spider legs.
  6. Press two candy eyes onto the front of each ball to create spider faces.
  7. Serve immediately or store for later.

Notes

Use Cocoa Krispies instead of cocoa powder for deeper chocolate flavor.

Grease hands with butter or spray to prevent sticking when shaping.

Try decorating with red icing mouths or sprinkles for extra fun.

Substitute pretzel sticks with licorice or chocolate-covered sticks for different spider legs.

Add peanut butter to melted marshmallows for a nutty twist.
