For the Dough:

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup warm milk (about 110°F)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

For the Strawberry Cheesecake Filling:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped

1/4 cup strawberry jam

For the Cinnamon Sugar Mixture:

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

For the Cream Cheese Glaze:

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Make the Dough: Combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix the warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Add to the dry ingredients and mix until dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes. Let rise for 1 hour.
  2. Prepare the Strawberry Cheesecake Filling: Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in chopped strawberries and strawberry jam.
  3. Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar Mixture: Mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.
  4. Assemble the Rolls: Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread cinnamon sugar mixture, then layer the cheesecake filling. Roll up the dough, slice into 12 rolls, and place in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Let rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Bake the Rolls: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Make the Cream Cheese Glaze: Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  7. Glaze and Serve: Drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the warm rolls and enjoy!

Notes

For a fruit swap, use raspberries, blueberries, or mixed berries instead of strawberries.

For an extra indulgent roll, sprinkle additional cinnamon sugar on top before baking.

To make gluten-free, use a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend.

For a vegan version, swap the cream cheese, butter, and milk for vegan alternatives.
