Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (3oz) package strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • 20 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Dough:
    • In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    • Beat in egg, vanilla extract, and strawberry gelatin until well combined.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  • Shape the Cookies:
    • Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Lightly flatten each dough ball.
  • Bake:
    • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are set.
    • Remove from the oven and immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
  • Cool & Serve:
    • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
    • Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
