These Tiramisu Fudge Brownies combine the rich, fudgy texture of dark chocolate brownies with the creamy, coffee-infused mascarpone filling, creating a decadent twist on the classic tiramisu. Topped with cocoa powder for the perfect finish, these brownies are irresistible!

Ingredients

8 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa)

½ cup unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

3 large eggs

½ cup all-purpose flour

1 tbsp espresso powder

8 oz mascarpone cheese

1 cup heavy whipping cream

Cocoa powder (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare an 8×8-inch baking dish by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the Chocolate and Butter: In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate and butter together until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
  3. Prepare the Brownie Batter: In a separate bowl, whisk the granulated sugar and eggs together until smooth. Fold in the melted chocolate and butter mixture until combined.
  4. Mix the Dry Ingredients: Sift the all-purpose flour and espresso powder together. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  5. Bake the Brownies: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool completely in the dish.
  6. Prepare the Mascarpone Topping: Whip the mascarpone cheese and heavy cream together in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  7. Assemble the Brownies: Once the brownies have cooled, spread the mascarpone mixture evenly over the top.
  8. Chill and Finish: Chill the brownies in the refrigerator for at least 45 minutes. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
  9. Serve: Cut into squares and serve! Enjoy these decadent treats!

Notes

For added texture, fold in chopped nuts or crushed ladyfingers to the brownie batter for a more traditional tiramisu feel.

Experiment with flavored extracts such as vanilla or almond in the mascarpone filling.

For an extra kick, add a few tablespoons of coffee liqueur to the mascarpone mixture.
