Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  5. Drop small spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
