Soft, chewy, and bursting with festive flavor, these Winter Wonderland Chocolate Chip Cookies combine semi-sweet and white chocolate with cool peppermint for the perfect winter treat.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and crushed peppermint candies.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 9–11 minutes, until edges are golden brown but centers are still soft.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Add 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract for extra minty flavor.

Chill dough for 30 minutes before baking to reduce spreading.

Drizzle cooled cookies with melted white chocolate for a decorative touch.

Substitute crushed peppermint with sprinkles or chopped nuts for variation.

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
