Bear Paw Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies are a creative and fun twist on the classic peanut butter blossoms. These soft, chewy cookies are topped with a chocolate paw print design, making them perfect for holidays, themed parties, or any fun occasion.
For the Cookies:
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar (plus extra for rolling)
1 egg
1 tsp baking soda
For the Chocolate Paw Print:
1/4 cup Ghirardelli milk chocolate melting disks (or chocolate chips)
3 milk chocolate chips (for the paw pads)
Prepare the Dough:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, egg, and baking soda. Stir until the dough is smooth and thick.
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and coat them lightly in sugar. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the Cookies:
Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cookies are slightly puffy but not overly browned.
Remove from the oven and let them cool for 2 minutes.
Add the Paw Print:
As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, press the chocolate melting disks into the center of each cookie.
Press three milk chocolate chips into the center of the melted chocolate to form the paw pads.
Allow the cookies to cool completely and let the chocolate set.
Serve:
Once cooled, store the cookies in an airtight container and enjoy!
Variations:
Different Chocolate: Swap the milk chocolate for dark chocolate or white chocolate if preferred.
