This easy Caramel Apple Dip is rich, buttery, and wonderfully creamy. Made with just three ingredients in 10 minutes, it is perfect served slightly warm with crisp apple slices.

Ingredients

14 ounces individually wrapped Kraft caramels, unwrapped

1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

6 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Add the caramels, sweetened condensed milk, and butter to a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir regularly until the caramels and butter are completely melted and the mixture is smooth and evenly combined.
  3. Remove the caramel dip from the heat once it is creamy, glossy, and no pieces of unmelted caramel remain.
  4. Serve slightly warm with fresh apple slices or your favorite dippers.

Notes

For salted caramel flavor, sprinkle the finished dip with a small pinch of flaky sea salt.

Add a little ground cinnamon for a warm fall flavor.

Top with finely chopped pecans, walnuts, or peanuts for extra texture.

Serve with Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, or Fuji apple slices, pears, pretzels, vanilla wafers, graham crackers, or sturdy cookies.

To help prevent sliced apples from browning, lightly coat them with lemon juice.

The dip can also be warmed until pourable and served over ice cream, brownies, cheesecake, or pound cake.

Store leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Reheat individual portions briefly in the microwave, stirring between intervals, or warm gently in a saucepan over low heat. Avoid overheating because caramel can become extremely hot.
