Bring the cozy, rich flavors of a classic Dublin pub right to your home with this easy Irish Pub Burger recipe. Juicy beef patties, sweet caramelized onions, crispy turkey strips, and a creamy mustard sauce come together for the ultimate burger experience, perfect for game day, BBQs, or casual dinners.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)

4 slices turkey strips

1 large onion, sliced

1/2 cup beef broth

1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated

1/2 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (halal-certified if needed)

Salt and pepper to taste

4 brioche burger buns

Butter (for toasting buns)

Instructions

  • Cook turkey strips over medium heat until crispy; drain on paper towels.

  • Sauté sliced onions in a bit of the remaining fat until caramelized (10-15 minutes). Add beef broth and simmer until reduced by half. Season with salt and pepper.

  • In a bowl, combine ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties, slightly larger than the buns.

  • Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, topping each with cheddar during the last minute to melt.

  • Mix sour cream, Dijon mustard, and a pinch of salt to create the burger sauce.

  • Butter and toast the buns in a skillet until golden and crispy.

  • Assemble each burger: bottom bun, cheeseburger patty, caramelized onions, two crispy turkey strips, a dollop of sauce, then the top bun.

  • Serve immediately with fries or your favorite sides.

Notes

Substitute cheddar with pepper jack, gouda, or Swiss cheese.

For a spicier burger, add sliced jalapeños or spicy mustard.

Make mini versions for sliders.

Lamb can replace beef for a gamier flavor.

Store components separately for best reheating results.
